We’ve been a bit shorthanded without Jake in town, and Carolyn just got back. We’ve brought in some new talent to help out.
I worked extensively with Zach back in high school at our TV station, GCNN. He’s interested in getting back into the video world, so we’re happy to announce that we’ve brought him into [...]
So we are making a video for Ben Bedford; Springfield, Illinois native. Here are a couple behind the scenes pictures from the shoot. The album is up on Facebook. If you are really bored, head over to flickr to see the entire album. Also, check out his album “land of the shadows”.
As promised, I present to our MILLIONS OF FOLLOWERS the sequel to the first Library I designed. It’s a more finished iteration of the first. Cleaner! Sharper! Amazinger? Major changes came in the front vestibule area. Instead of making the entrance at the pivot point of an intimidating tunnel shrouded in darkness, I added a [...]
Here’s a draft of a poster I’m doing for one of my brother’s screen plays. He’s thinking about entering it into the competition Amazon is putting on through their “Amazon Studios” http://studios.amazon.com/. Mostly, it’s nice to have something more than a title to put on the cover of a script. The image is pretty simple. [...]
Jake mailed each of us 100 copies of our new business cards made at Solution Printing, but designed by us. They’re a glossy black on the front with the “Nerds in Disguise” typeface logo in white and a white matte on the back with a centered copy of our trademark glasses in gray. The white matted [...]
Next Filligar video has been released. Here’s the Youtube and Vimeo version, along with some more behind the scenes production notes.
We had a little meeting over the past week, when our spring breaks matched up. Ben’s break was the week before, so he Skyped in.
We’re going to be releasing a new Filligar video soon, but in the meantime, here’s a quick look at some of the post-production work we’ve been doing.
In addition to just editing and cutting up the clips, a significant amount of effecting and retouching goes into these videos. We’ll go through and color grade to change [...]
Our first video in the Filligar series went live last Thursday. Make sure to check it out on Youtube and send it around to your friends. The vimeo version of the video from our page is below as well as some behind-the-scenes production notes that we’ll be releasing throughout this process.
Ah the sweet irony of it all. Is it ironic that I took a picture of a camera? Is it ironic that my new camera is the Brownie Hawkeye manufactured by Kodak from 1950 to 1961? Probably all of the above. I was perusing an antique store near my school when I came across this bad boy. Apparently they’re a fairly common old school camera, and it isn’t worth anything, but I like it anyway. I don’t know if it really works yet, but once I get some film, I’ll experiment and let the world know, via this extremely popular blog, how it goes.
